The beginning of a family business...

Gary arrived in Huntsville in 1990 and started the accounting and taxation practice known as Gary J. Fisher CMA. The business moved out of the family home and onto the present King William Street location in 2002.

In the spring of 2004, Adam Fisher joined the business and enrolled in accounting and tax courses to build on his economics’ degree. He has been instrumental in developing and growing the bookkeeping aspect of the practice.

Karen joined us in 2006 and has brightened the reception area and kept the office organized ever since.

Meet the Team

Gary Fisher

Senior Accountant

With a university degree, a designation from the Certified Management Accountants’ Society of Ontario and twelve years business experience in Toronto, Gary moved his young family to Huntsville to provide them with a more natural and less hectic environment. He started advertising in the local paper that a new accountant was in town looking for new clients.

He has used his business experience and technical expertise to provide professional tax and accounting solutions for individuals; sole proprietorships; and small business corporations, for over 20 years.

Gary is a dedicated professional and is enthusiastic in the pursuit for the right solution for each client’s tax or business problem.

Adam Fisher

Bookkeeping & Quickbooks Master

In the spring of 2004, Adam joined his father and after enjoying his first Personal Tax season decided to stay. He is now Gary’s right-hand man specializing in business bookkeeping, current software development, payroll and GST calculations and government reporting.

Putting his patience and teaching skills to good use, Adam offers onsite or in-office training sessions to help clients keep their books in balance. This helps with year-end tax preparation and financial statement preparation.

Adam studied economics at Trent University and graduated in 2002.

Karen Pascall

Office Manager

Karen has been a valuable member of the Gary J. Fisher CMA team since September 2006. With over 25 years’ experience in the restaurant industry, Karen perfected her time-management and customer-service skills. With her excellent organizational skills, all paper work and customer files flow smoothly through the office from reception to the signing and settling of accounts.

As office manager, Karen makes sure that our clients’ experience is positive and pleasant. She goes that extra mile every day to ensure this.
